Feed size should be no larger than 2mm ( screen if larger.)
Max recommended slurry feed per hour 3 tph
Water rates can vary but more water the better so that the whole bowl is full of water when spinning. ( good water flow to get the best out of the process, ) if water is too muddy then gold will float away.
Clean out remove bung and drain into a pan.
Wash concentrate out of riffles with a hose.
Pan off carefully as this catches some very fine gold.
Fine tune with trial and error, try re-running material to get the hang of using this tool.
If running behind a crusher, try adding magnets to the central feed hoop to help lower the amount of magnetic material caught. (clean magnets often.)
Stick or material over 5mm will damage the bowl.
Optimum efficiency material sub 2mm – ideally 0.2mm (200 mesh) too 1mm
The side paddles great back pressure which keeps the material moving. Ensure they stay tight and in position, they can be fine tuned to the material run.
